Headache-free cookbook
The Migraine Association of Canada has released a cookbook especially for migraine sufferers. Fabulous Cooking Ideas features a selection of recipes–created by chefs from Toronto and Montreal–that are free of the foods that commonly trigger migraine.
“Unlike hormonal fluctuations and weather, food is a trigger that you can have some control over,” says Emily Levitt, communications manager for the association.
Among the delectables: grilled swordfish with portobello mushrooms and a corn-mango salsa, chicken breasts filled with sautéed vegetables, and mocha mousse served with cinnamon whipped cream.
The cookbook is available in French and English for $19.95. To order call the Migraine Association of Canada at 1-800-663-3557.
